Kwara covers a huge area of 1750km², in the middle of the Delta’s northern edge. It’s bounded to the north by Selinda, to the west by Vumbura and to the east by the Khwai Community’s concession, NG18.
On the south side, near to Kwara Camp itself, the reserve is adjacent to Moremi Game Reserve and the small enclave of NG21 (which includes Camp Okavango, Xugana and Shinde). This location gives Kwara access to the shallow floodplains and deep-water areas on the north side of the Delta, as well as a huge, dry, game- viewing area to the north of that.
