Concession history

Kwara’s been an established safari camp for many years, since it was originally built in 1996. For several years in the mid-1990s it was privately owned and marketed by Wilderness, and was also the base for Sarah-Jane’s early horse safaris – which are now run from Macatoo Camp in NG26.
It was taken over by the Kwando Safaris team in 1999, to add a real Delta experience to their Lagoon and Lebala camps. They have subsequently brought Songwe Village to their portfolio, giving them a successful ‘circuit’ of four camps encompassing Victoria Falls, the Kwando/Linyanti region and the Okavango.
