Semetsi Camp

Overlooking the Boro River, and Moremi Game Reserve beyond that, Semetsi has eight walk-in ‘mini-Meru’ tents, each raised on a wooden platform. Inside these are twin beds with mattresses, duvets, towels and linen. It’s clean and comfortable, but fairly spartan by the standards of most camps in the Delta. Flush toilets and showers are shared, and set back from the tents.
Semetsi has a reed-walled bar and dining area, topped by a thatched roof, and a campfire outside for drinks at the end of the day. Lighting throughout the camp is by paraffin lantern, which I still think is the most beautiful way to light a camp in the bush! There is a laundry service included in the costs.
Activities here take place normally mornings and evenings, generally mokoro trips including a walk on a nearby island.
