Gunn’s Bushcamp

Gunn’s Bushcamp is a campsite near to Gunn’s Camp that is used as a base for mokoro excursions around the Delta. It has a restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool, and a shop where food can be bought and limited amounts of equipment are available for rental.
The options are flexible. You can bring your own camping equipment and food, or you can hire tents and kit (best booked in advance) and eat in their restaurant. That said, the equipment hire is relatively expensive: P40 per day for a two-person tent, or P10 per day for a towel! Meals cost around P25 for a full breakfast, P20 for a lunch special, and P38 for a two-course dinner.
Activities are mokoro trips with walks on the islands. These cost about US$70 per mokoro per day, and can be as short or as long as you wish – camping on the islands as you go. Packs consisting of a day’s food and equipment hire cost US$50/60 per person sharing/single per day; camping fees are US$10 per person per day, and park fees are US$15 per person per day.
Thus a four-day/three-night mokoro trip would cost around US$356 per person sharing (including flights). Add on another US$150 each, making a total of US$506 each, if you need food and equipment – which you probably will given the strict weight limits for the flights.
Transfers between Maun and Gunn’s Bushcamp cost US$88 per person one-way, and note that the 10kg luggage allowance on the flight out here is fairly keenly enforced.
