Situated 5km from the centre of town – head south from the town centre to the main roundabout and take a left turn – the hotel is 4km further along past the golf course, on the right. Now a member of the Cresta group, the Marang features a number of attractive thatched chalets built on stilts along the Tati River amongst the acacia trees and mown lawns. There are also chalets, executive rooms and a cottage, all of which have air conditioning and TV. In addition, there are eight budget rooms that lack these facilities, and a campsite (see Campsites, below). Further facilities include an à la carte restaurant and swimming pool, as well as the casino, which is open 11.00 till late (though for 'casino' read 'amusement arcade'). Outside, there is secure parking.
