Ten minutes' drive from Jack's Camp, San is run by the same team in very similar style, though uses white canvas rather than green Meru-style tents. Again, it's rustic but stylish and comfortable. It works in the same way with similar activities and approach, although is only open during the dry season. It has just six tents, of which two have four-poster double beds and the rest have twins. Note that the toilets here are long-drop, rather than flush, and are also private but set back from the back of the tents.

Both Jack's and San Camp are first-rate camps offering something totally different to virtually all of the rest of Botswana's camps. Either makes a great three- or four-night stop, best at the very end of a fly-in trip to Botswana, though both are expensive.
