Owned by the Zambezi Lodge, a hotel in the Caprivi Strip's main town, Katima Mulilo, King's Den overlooks the Chobe National Park from Kasikili Island. It can be reached by taking a boat west from Kasane.

It has ten wooden chalets constructed on stilts on the edge of the island, all with en-suite facilities. In addition to these, there is a 13-cabin riverboat, the Zambezi Queen. Some say it's moored here, others allege that it's stuck.

While the site has potential, King's Den seems to be currently used mainly for fishing trips and doesn't offer the quality that you'll discover in many of Botswana's lodges.
