Guma Lagoon
On the western side of the Delta, at the very base of the Panhandle, Guma is a large, papyrus-lined lagoon. It is linked to the Thaoge River, the main eastern finger of the Okavango's river system, by a short channel (40 minutes by boat from the camp or the lodge). Guma Lagoon and the main Thoage River are excellent spots for fishing and bird-watching. This combination, with relatively easy access from Etsha 13, has encouraged two different camps to set up here.
