Where to stay

Nogatsaa/Tchinga Public Campsite
There used to be two campsites here, at Tchinga (alias 'Tshinga' and 'Tjinga') and Nogatsaa. However, both have been strictly closed to private visitors over recent years. There are certainly HATAB camping facilities in the area, so you ought to have no problems visiting here with a mobile safari run by a licensed Botswana tour operator.

Nogatsaa, the more northerly site, is situated overlooking Nogatsaa Dam and used to have toilets, cold showers and a game-viewing hide. It used to be a great place for just sitting and watching the game coming to bathe and drink.

Tchinga is about 21km south of Nogatsaa, and even years ago had no facilities other than a water tank with a very temperamental mechanical pump.
